Where to stay in Athens?
Novotel Athenes
One of the good places to stay is Novotel Athenes. Only a 15-minute walk from the city center and a few minutes away from 3 metro stations, the location offers great rooms and an even greater rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant.
Don’t be fooled by the apparently dilapidated surroundings. I love Athens, although I was slightly surprised by some of its shabby buildings and streets the first time I visited. They add to the city’s charm, same as in Napoli or Palermo.
Once you step inside Novotel, you’ll be swept away by the cool design.
We had a lovely, spacious, and bright room on the 6th floor, perfectly fit for two people. The only thing I found strange was that the bathroom had glass doors that wouldn’t close shut. Later, I moved to East Asia, where some hotels have huge windows between the bedroom and the toilet:)).
